Fried Mushrooms

Ingredients:

8 to 10 oz Lion’s Mane (or other gourmet mushroom)

½ C flour

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

3 eggs

1 c panko

Frying oil

 

1. Tear mushrooms into chicken nugget-sized pieces.

2. In 1 bowl, combine flour and spices. In a 2nd bowl, whisk eggs. Fill a 3rd bowl with the panko.

3. Dunk each mushroom nugget in flour, then egg, then panko.

4. In a pan, heat oil on medium/high heat. Fry each nugget until golden brown on each side.

5. Rest on a paper towel covered plate. Repeat until all mushrooms are fried.
